IOWA CITY HOST NOON LIONS CLUB HAS FLOOD CLEANUP BUCKETS AVAILABLE
Iowa City Host Noon Lions Club has put together 50 cleanup buckets and taken them to the collection/distribution center at First Presbyterian Church, Iowa City, 2701 Rochester Avenue. I received an email that the buckets are being used by United Way volunteers and people in various Iowa City neighborhoods. Cleaning buckets are being brought in from all over the Midwest.
We want to get the word out that individuals may (and are encouraged) to pick up buckets for themselves, neighbors, etc., during the day at the church. I was asked to let other Lions Clubs in the area know this and let their members and communities know that free buckets are available to be picked up.

IOWA LIONS FOUNDATION "ROUND UP" FUNDRAISING PROJECT
In 2006, the Foundation and Local Lions teamed with local retailers to raise money for the Iowa Lions Foundations Sight and Hearing programs. The 10 clubs and retailers listed below raised approximately $6,000 for the Foundation. This year clubs will receive Warren Coleman credit for Round Up contributions. All necessary information is listed on the State Website (www.iowalions.org) under MISC FORMS, and under FORMS FOR CLUBS on District 9X4 (www.iowalions9x4.org) web site.. On the Microsoft Word forms, pull up the forms, type in your club name, the name of the retailer (and the date on the poster form), then you can print and save the information. Thanks to all clubs who participate in Round Up and help the Iowa Lions Foundation conduct our valuable Sight and Hearing programs.
